Brijuni Islands

Islands with a Historical Legacy

Brijuni National Park is a group of 14 islands and islets situated along the southwestern coast of Istria.

This unique archipelago represents a blend of exceptional natural beauty and a rich cultural and historical heritage.

Brijuni Through History

From Romans to Tito

This archipelago has been inhabited since prehistory, with the most famous remains being the ruins of a Roman villa in Verige Bay.

By the end of the 19th century, Brijuni became an elite Austro-Hungarian destination. After World War II, it served as the residence of President Tito and a meeting place for world statesmen.
